The Bangladesh Under-20 national football team is set to receive a grand reception upon their return home on Saturday evening, following their historic triumph in the SAFF U-20 Championship held in Malé, Malé. The young footballers, who have brought immense pride to the nation with their outstanding performance, are scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 6:35 pm.
To mark this significant achievement, the Bangladesh Football Federation has arranged an elaborate reception program in honor of the victorious squad. An open-roof-top bus procession will begin shortly after the team’s arrival, giving fans and supporters an opportunity to greet and celebrate the champions. The celebratory procession will travel through key streets of the capital before concluding at the Hatirjheel Amphitheater, where the official reception ceremony is scheduled to begin around 7:30 pm.
The federation has urged football fans and the general public to join the celebrations and express their appreciation for the young athletes. Their journey throughout the tournament was marked by determination, resilience, and impressive technical skill, which captured the attention of supporters across the country. A large turnout is expected, reflecting the growing popularity and enthusiasm for football in Bangladesh.
