UAE Ambassador pays courtesy call on Religious Affairs Minister

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Bangladesh, Abdulla Ali AlHmoudi, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh’s Religious Affairs Minister, Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain Kaikobad, at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Dhaka on February 24.

The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the longstanding, historic and fraternal relations between Bangladesh and the UAE. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation into broader and more substantive areas. The discussions highlighted the depth of mutual respect and understanding that characterizes relations between the two friendly nations.

During the meeting, the ambassador and the minister explored avenues to enhance collaboration in the field of religious affairs. They stressed the importance of strengthening institutional linkages and promoting greater coordination between the relevant authorities of the two countries. The talks focused on expanding cooperation in religious education, capacity-building initiatives, and the exchange of expertise aimed at fostering inclusive, progressive, and community-oriented religious services.

Special emphasis was placed on enhancing people-to-people connectivity and promoting cultural exchange. Both sides acknowledged the significant contribution of the Bangladeshi expatriate community in the UAE in consolidating bilateral relations.
